Marc Hausman, President and CEO Founder Marc Hausman is responsible for setting corporate direction, building C-level relationships with clients and developing new business opportunities for the firm. He also serves on the Strategic Board of Directors as Chairman. Under his leadership, Strategic has become the agency of choice for a tier-one group of technology, telecommunications and professional services companies with combined annual revenue of more than $10 billion.
For more than 10 years Marc has led the team that’s built Strategic from a start-up to a multi-million dollar public relations consultancy. In the process, he has become one of the most-frequently consulted, most-often quoted authorities on communications and business development programs that support corporate growth. Marc has been featured in a number of industry publications, including Entrepreneur, PR Week and Fortune Small Business. He has served as a columnist for SmartCEO and INC.com, and has contributed articles to other leading publications such as Washington Business Journal, ExecutiveBiz, ExpertPR and Expert Magazine. Brian Muys, Managing Director Brian Muys is responsible for the creation and oversight of integrated PR and business development programs, providing strategic counsel to clients, and ensuring reliable delivery of agreed-to performance objectives by dedicated account teams.
Brian has 20 years of communications experience, with more than 10 years of extensive market expertise working both in the commercial and government IT markets. He oversees a variety of clients such as DataPath, Microspace Communications, SRS Technologies, Stanley Associates, Micromuse, Kelly FedSecure and West, Lane & Schlager.
Brian joined Strategic as vice president in 2004 from Best Software, a provider of business management solutions for small to mid-sized companies, where he oversaw all corporate media and industry analyst relations programs in support of its acquisition by and rebranding as Sage Software. He previously served in a similar senior management capacity with Concert Communications, the global telecommunications joint venture of British Telecom and MCI, during Worldcom’s purchase of MCI and ATT’s succession of MCI in the venture. In addition, he worked with the original management team of PSINet, the first commercial Internet Service Provider, during and following its successful IPO. He also served trade association and corporate clients through his own communications consulting business.
Brian is a long-time member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Technology Section, and has also been a featured speaker at a number of technology, telecommunications and public relations-focused conferences and seminars.

Christopher Parente, Managing Director Chris Parente is responsible for the creation and oversight of integrated PR and business development programs, providing strategic counsel to clients, and ensuring reliable delivery of agreed-to performance objectives by dedicated account teams. Additionally, Chris is responsible for the identification and recruitment of top communications personnel to support Strategic’s client base.
Chris has extensive market expertise in the area of Internet technology, including broadband access, domain name issues, digital security and online advertising. He leverages this experience and his knowledge of the Washington technology trade association community for the benefit of clients such as Tellabs (NASDAQ: TLAB), AMERICOM GOVERNMENT SERVICES, Convera (NASDAQ: CNVR) and UltraDNS, a wholly owned subsidiary of NeuStar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR).
Prior to joining Strategic, Chris had more than 15 years of experience with both public and private companies, including senior corporate communications and product management positions with VeriSign, the registry operator of the .com and .net domain name extensions and two of the Internet root servers responsible for global Internet connectivity. He also served as vice president of corporate communications for Advertising.com, one of the most prominent mid-Atlantic region technology success stories, purchased in June 2004 by Time Warner’s AOL division in a $435 million all-cash transaction. For four years, Parente held a variety of positions with the Times Mirror Inc. publishing company, serving as a senior manager for their electronic political publications. He also possesses an extensive wireless background, having worked as a marketing manager at the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) in Washington, DC.
Chris serves as company liaison to local professional associations including the Association for Corporate Growth and Washington Space Business Roundtable.

Nikki Robinson, Director of Finance & Administration Nikki Robinson is responsible for overseeing Strategic's day-to-day operations, finance, and human resources as a member of the executive management team. Nikki joined Strategic in 2001 and supports client service through efficient financial organization strategies and more efficient reporting and ensuring best practices. Additionally, Nikki is responsible for implementing agency-wide financial processes and internal controls that ensure efficient operations throughout the agency.
Nikki’s professional experience spans more than 12 years of progressive finance and human resources responsibilities with both private and public sectors, including more than three years with a large publicly traded company that included six divisional service and distribution entities under her management. Throughout all of her senior level positions, Nikki has made a significant impact on the financial and operational structure of the organization.
Nikki is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Shany Seawright, Director Shany Seawright provides strategic counsel, client management and high-level execution with media and analysts to ultimately drive corporate awareness and valuation for her clients. She brings a strong network security background and a solid public relations track record in corporate, product and professional services for early-stage and mid-sized organizations.
With Shany’s expertise in security and telecommunications, her representative clients include DataPath, Fargo Electronics (NASDAQ:FRGO), Microspace, TARP and UltraDNS, a wholly owned subsidiary of NeuStar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR).
Prior to joining Strategic, Shany worked for PR consultancy Merritt Group Inc., helping build the company's nationally recognized security practice group. She has also worked within the technology practice groups for two global agencies: Hill & Knowlton and GCI Group. She has driven PR campaigns for clients included the former cyber security advisor to the White House, Howard Schmidt, BellSouth, Cyber Security Industry Alliance, Motorola, MCI, Qualys and others.

Tonya Bacon, Director Tonya Bacon is responsible for providing strategic direction, account management and execution of public relations and marketing communications initiatives on behalf of her clients to support their key business goals. Her objective is to foster a strong agency and client partnership to ensure that her team’s efforts are closely aligned with the client’s needs.
With a focus in the satellite communications, system integrator and network technology infrastructure industries, her representative clients include AMERICOM GOVERNMENT SERVICES, Inc., Micromuse/IBM Tivoli Division, Stanley, Thrane & Thrane, Inc. and UltraDNS, a wholly owned subsidiary of NeuStar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR).
Prior to joining Strategic, Tonya was the director of communications of a physical security company that specialized in providing security services to the federal government. Previously, Tonya was a senior account executive with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide where she provided corporate communications counsel for Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) and managed corporate programs benefiting 120,000 employees in 150 countries. Tonya is also experienced in legal communications, having developed marketing programs for Swidler Berlin, now part of Bingham McCutchen.
Tonya is an accomplished public speaker, having worked with Making It Count, a division of Monster Worldwide. She graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a B.A. in journalism, and she received her M.A. in public communication from American University in Washington, DC.

Michael I. Sanders has served on the Strategic Board of Directors since June 2000. He is a partner in the Washington, DC law offices of Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy, LLP. An expert on tax law, he is an adjunct professor at George Washington University Law Center and at Georgetown University Law School. He regularly serves as an expert witness in complex litigation and is the author of Joint Ventures Involving Tax-Exempt Organizations, published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Andrew D. Roscoe has served on the Strategic Board of Directors since January 2002. He is a Partner with ForceNine Consulting, a wireless broadband consulting firm. Formerly, he was Chairman and CEO of o2wireless Solutions, Inc., now Baran Telecom (TLV:BRAN.TA), a leading provider of outsourced network services to the global wireless telecommunications industry. He was also a founder and CEO of The Strategis Group, a leading telecommunications consultancy.
